Supporting TA Aerospace with Reliable HVAC-R Service

In the aerospace sector, you don’t get second chances. Every part has to be built right the first time, and that kind of precision doesn’t just depend on skilled people and the right tools. The facility itself plays a huge role. If the air isn’t clean, the temperature isn’t steady or the equipment isn’t running right, then production can suffer fast.

TA Aerospace gets that. They’ve built a reputation on accuracy and consistency, so they can’t afford to have their systems working against them. That’s why they brought us in back in 2023—to get their environment under control and keep it that way.

What started as a call to fix a few frustrating problems has turned into a strong working relationship. Now, we handle their preventive maintenance, help with upgrades and show up fast whenever something unexpected happens.

The First Call for HVAC Support

Before we came on board, TA Aerospace was working with another contractor. They were dealing with ongoing system issues; the airflow wasn’t consistent, and the equipment wasn’t delivering the performance the facility needed.

The root of the problem was in the technical work. Mistakes in the way the systems were set up meant the equipment could never operate the way it should. Processes like composite curing and CNC machining rely on stable conditions, so any fluctuation can throw production off track.

They needed more than routine service. TA Aerospace needed someone who could diagnose and fix the real problem, not just patch things up.

Fixing Previous HVAC Errors

The first step was a full review of their systems: equipment, installation work and how air was moving throughout the building. We wanted to find what was really causing the performance issues.

Once we had answers, we got to work:

  • Corrected the installation errors that were limiting performance
  • Upgraded equipment to models that matched their needs
  • Improved ductwork so air moved evenly and reliably throughout the facility

These changes made a noticeable difference right away. Systems started performing the way they should, and the environment stabilized so production could run without interruption.

Preventive HVAC Maintenance

Fixing the immediate problems was only the start. To keep their systems running smoothly, we set TA Aerospace up with a seasonal HVAC preventive maintenance plan. Twice a year, we go through every piece of equipment to make sure it’s ready for the demands of the coming season

That means cleaning, tuning, checking controls, replacing filters and catching small issues before they can turn into big problems. We build the plan around their production needs, so maintenance fits their schedule without causing disruptions.

24/7 HVAC Support

Even with a strong preventive maintenance plan, things can happen between visits. When they do, TA Aerospace knows they can call us and get a quick response. We’ve handled everything from urgent repairs to unexpected system issues, getting them back up and running fast. Knowing we’re just a phone call away boosts their confidence that they won’t be left waiting when it matters most.

BMI’s Aerospace Mechanical Support

Two members of our team have been especially involved in supporting TA Aerospace:

  • Devin Hertz, Service Supervisor – Devin handles TA Aerospace’s ongoing service and keeps maintenance on track. He’s also quick to make recommendations when he spots something that could improve performance or efficiency.
  • Jeff Gould, Project Consultant – Jeff manages larger projects, from planning upgrades to ensuring that installations are done correctly. His ability to align projects with production and budget needs has made him a trusted resource for their team.

Devin and Jeff have built a strong working relationship with TA Aerospace’s staff. They know the facility, they know the systems and they know how to keep things running without getting in the way of production.

The Results

Since partnering with us, TA Aerospace has seen consistent, reliable performance from their HVAC systems. The problems caused by the previous contractor’s work are gone, and the facility’s environment is stable.

With an HVAC preventive maintenance plan in place and emergency support available when needed, they can focus on production without worrying about whether their mechanical systems will hold up.

Choosing the Right Aerospace Mechanical Contractor

When system problems, uneven airflow and downtime are paired with rising contractor bills and HVAC costs that constantly exceed your budget, it’s a clear sign your facility may need a new approach to its mechanical systems.

High-demand industries like aerospace and defense need a partner who can fix problems and prevent them from coming back. That’s what we’ve done for TA Aerospace, what we do for every client we work with in this sector and what we can do for you.

Our work with TA Aerospace shows how much of a difference the right mechanical service partner can make. By fixing the problems at the source, upgrading systems and keeping up with regular maintenance, we’ve helped them create a stable, reliable environment for production
