The Porterville Police Station began experiencing ongoing performance issues with their aging 60-ton AC unit. After years of service, the system was no longer delivering the reliability and efficiency the facility required. With daily operations depending on consistent indoor comfort, it became clear that replacement was the right long-term solution.
We connected with the municipality after we were recommended by distributor partners familiar with our experience installing large Trane systems. Once discussions began, our focus was understanding exactly what the facility needed from both a performance and scheduling standpoint.
Planning Around Performance and Access
Every municipal project comes with unique requirements. In this case, efficiency goals, timeline expectations and specific site access considerations all played a role in shaping the installation plan. Our sales and project teams worked closely with city representatives to confirm equipment selection and coordinate logistics before any equipment was delivered.
Clear communication early in the process allowed us to minimize disruption and keep the project moving smoothly. We properly planned the project and safely and efficiently executed the crane lift, equipment placement and system connections.
High-Efficiency Upgrade with Full Integration
We installed a new 60-ton Trane unit designed to improve reliability and overall system performance. We fully integrated the unit into the existing Building Management System and completed in compliance with Title 24 requirements. As part of the broader mechanical upgrade, we installed a high-efficiency 90+ percent boiler to support the facility’s heating needs. The result was a seamless transition to updated equipment with improved efficiency and dependable performance.
